If you read much of what I write you know I tend to be drawn to the atypical samples of web design. On the one hand, this seems likely as I look at way too much web design… and therefore appreciate the change of pace. On the other hand, what I really love is seeing how others can push the boundaries and not just simply follow the same old, tired formulas. In the case of Shockoe Denim, I was struck by the use of full-page video on the homepage. I have seen this approach from time to time; but I must say that in this fashion / e-commerce case, the approach effectively sets the mood and tone for the entire site.
